Xing Rong and his collaborators have utilized nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center as the sensor to exploring new physics beyond the standard model. A new limit on the exotic spin-dependent interaction, which may be mediated by axial-vector fields, has been experimentally established, which improved the upper limit of a previous limit by the order of 50 for the force range at 500 μm.
