1. Postdoctoral positions on trapped ion quantum information experiments
Candidates should hold a PhD degree in physics at the time of appointment, with excellent research experiences, strong experimental backgrounds and apparatus development skills.
Our research projects include the following areas:
Ion trap chip design and microfabrication;
Cryogenic ion trap design and setup;
Innovative ion trap research and engineering;
Candidates are required to have expertise in trapped ion or cold atom experiments. It would be a plus with the following: 1. expertise on ion trap microfabrication and design; 2. expertise on design and setup for ultralow vibration cryogenic platform; 3. good team work spirit and communication skills
2. Postdoctoral positions on diamond based quantum information
Candidates should hold a PhD degree in physics at the time of appointment, with excellent research experiences, strong theoretical backgrounds or experimental skills.
Our research projects include the following areas:
CVD diamond growth, diamond nano-fabrication for spin-based quantum device;
diamond light matter quantum interface;
diamond quantum sensing;
Expertise with building ultra-low vibration cryogenic platform or cryo atomic force microscopy setup is a plus.
3. Postdoctoral positions on correlated oxide nanoelectronics
The successful candidate should hold a PhD degree in physics or materials sciences at the time of appointment, an excellent publication record and research experiences in at least one of the following areas:
Pulsed laser deposition of oxide materials;
Quantum transport study with dilution refrigerators;
Scanning probe microscopy instrumentation;
Expertise with superconductivity, mesoscopic electron transport and spintronics is a plus.
4. Postdoctoral positions atomic-ensemble-based quantum sensing
The research will focus on developing the technology and application of atomic-ensemble-based quantum sensing. The successful candidate should hold a PhD degree in physics at the time of appointment and research experiences in at least one of the following areas:
1. Atomic physics study associated with warm or cold atoms;
2. Light-atom interaction;
3. Nuclear magnetic resonance;
